How to use the wheel spinner

    1. Add your entries. Type or paste names, ideas or prizes into the box, one per line. You can paste a column straight from Excel or Google Sheets.
    2. Spin the wheel. Click Spin, click the wheel itself, or press Ctrl + Enter.
    3. Get your result. The wheel slows to a stop and shows the winner. Choose Spin again, or Remove from wheel to make sure it isn't picked twice.

What can you use a spinning wheel for?

A spin-the-wheel picker turns any choice into a quick, fair and fun moment that everyone can see. Some popular uses:

    • Classrooms: pick a student to answer, choose the next presenter, or decide the order of turns. It works great on interactive whiteboards in full-screen mode.
    • Giveaways and raffles: draw winners from a list of entrants live on stream or in a screen recording, so your audience can see the draw is fair.
    • Team meetings: choose who runs stand-up, who takes notes, or which topic to discuss first.
    • Games and parties: truth or dare, forfeits, challenges, prizes and party games.
    • Everyday decisions: what to eat, what to watch, where to go. Try the food wheel or the yes or no wheel.

    Features

    • Fair randomness: winners are picked with a cryptographically secure random generator.
    • Up to 500 entries: paste whole class lists or giveaway entrants at once.
    • Remove winners: draw several winners without repeats.
    • Results history: keep track of every pick in the session.
    • Share link: send your exact wheel to anyone, with no account needed.
    • Full screen, sound and confetti: made for projectors, streams and parties.
    • Private by design: your entries stay in your browser. We don't upload or store them.

    Wheel spinner tips

    • Weighted odds: add an entry twice to double its chance of winning.
    • Shuffle mixes up the order of the slices, and Sort puts them in A–Z order. Neither changes the odds, but they make the wheel easier to read.
    • Need numbers or letters instead of names? Use the random number wheel or the letter wheel. To split a group, use the random team generator.

    Frequently asked questions

Is the wheel spinner really random?

Yes. SpinAndPick chooses the winner with your browser’s cryptographically secure random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues) before the animation starts, then spins the wheel to land on it. Every entry has exactly the same chance, and the result can’t be influenced by when or how you click.

How many entries can I put on the wheel?

Up to 500 entries. Labels shrink as you add more, and the winner is always shown in large text when the wheel stops.

How do I remove a name after it has been picked?

When the wheel stops, press “Remove from wheel” in the result window. The entry is taken off, so you can keep spinning until everyone has been picked. This is perfect for raffles, presentations and turn order.

Can I give one entry a higher chance of winning?

Yes. Add that entry more than once. An entry listed twice on a wheel of ten slices has a 2 in 10 chance of being picked.

Can I save or share my wheel?

Your entries are saved automatically in your browser, so they are still there when you come back on the same device. To share, press “Share link”. The link contains your entries, so anyone who opens it sees the same wheel.

Do I need an account, and is it free?

No account is needed and the wheel spinner is completely free. It works in any modern browser on phones, tablets, laptops and interactive whiteboards.

Can I use the wheel for a giveaway or raffle?

Yes. Paste the names or usernames of entrants, spin, and record the result on screen for transparency. Use “Remove from wheel” to draw several winners without repeats.
